Request a Prayer
Request for Prayer to be offered at the altar of Christ Church Episcopal
Intercessory prayer is at the heart of our mission as a church and is founded in Holy Scripture. In both our daily and Sunday prayers we remember the church, the world and our community, along with the sick or troubled, and those who have died. We also rejoice in prayers of thanksgiving for birth, baptism, marriage or other rites of passage.
We know that when we pray for others in faith, God hears our prayers and answers them. Jesus tells his disciples to pray in His name.
“I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If in my name you ask me for anything, I will do it.” (John: 14:13-14)
“You did not choose me but I chose you. And I appointed you to go and bear fruit, fruit that will last, so that the Father will give you whatever you ask him in my name.” (John 15:16)
“On that day you will ask nothing of me. Very truly, I tell you, if you ask anything of the Father in my name, he will give it to you.” (John: 16:23)
