Bill Haile is the recently retired Chairman, President & CEO of SunTrust Bank, Georgia.  He is a graduate of The Citadel and the Stonier Graduate School of Banking.  He and his wife, Gigi, have been members of Christ Church for over 35 years and both of their sons, Fitzhugh and Rob, were christened and confirmed at Christ Church.  Bill has previously served three terms on the vestry and in the past was Chairman of the Christ Church Endowment Committee.  He is also the current co-chair of our stewardship campaign and has led our past three campaigns.  Bill has also served in leadership capacities in numerous local civic organizations including serving as Chair of the Board and Campaign Chair of United Way of the Coastal Empire, Treasurer of Historic Savannah Foundation, Board member of The Ossabaw Island Foundation, Savannah Country Day School, Bethesda Home for Boys, Greenbrier Children’s Center, and the National Association of Independent Schools.
