Margaret J. Miller

Margaret Miller was born in Mobile, Alabama, and moved to Savannah after marrying Jerry Miller, an architect.  Originally a Roman Catholic, Margaret began attending Christ Church in 1989.  She later joined St. Peter’s Episcopal Church on Skidaway Island, where she was formally received as an Episcopalian in 1992.  While at St. Peter’s, she served as senior warden, flower guild chair, altar guild chair, and antiques show chair.  She graduated from Spring Hill College, earned master’s degrees from Emory University and Florida State University, and completed work toward doctorate in instructional design from Florida State University.  She also received an Education for Ministry certificate from The University of the South.   Prior to her retirement, Margaret served as Region Human Resources Relationship Manager for SunTrust Bank, Georgia. She has also volunteered for the United Way and Interfaith Hospitality Network, and she has served on the boards for the YMCA, the Telfair Museum of Art, and Leadership Savannah.
