Christ Church Episcopal celebrated The Rev. Michael S. White’s first anniversary as the Church’s rector on July 12, the sixth Sunday after Pentecost. The congregation offered its thanks for Fr. White’s ministry and gave him a standing ovation during the service. “Fr. White is a true gift of the spirit” said one communicant. “He is a priest among priests and has led our congregation with incredible dignity.”
After the service, the congregation gathered in the parish hall for a festive celebration hosted by the Church’s “Church Mothers.”
Fr. White told the congregation, “My family and I are truly blessed to be among you all.”
Fr. White is the Church’s forty-first rector and joins a distinguished list of previous rectors including John Wesley, George Whitefield, Bishop Stephen Elliott, Bishop John Wing, F. Bland Tucker and George M. Maxwell.
